setting up alpine headunit HELP

Clio 182 LY + Cup packs

Hi

I have an alpine CDA 9833R headunit which I am having a few problems setting up. As I am used to the Sony headunits where you could easily adjust Bass and Trebble, etc.

I realise that I need to set up my own EQ settings but it all just means numbers to me but dont actually know wot to set each band to, can anyone help? PLEASE!!!

From what I can see there are 5bands and then you can set up 3different settings in each band?? Frequency and band width and something else, I am completeley lost and at the moment I can hardly hear and vocals and just lots of bass which sounds pants.

Thanks in advance

I got the manual its just its the most confusing thing ive ever read!!!

This headunit does look really complex. So wots the best way to set the equalizer so as to get clear Sound quality without stupid amounts of Bass. I bin playing with it today and now seem to have to much trebble at high volums and distorted tweeters.

Im very confused with all this, Sony make it so easy with there units

did you try the link i posted

i found it much easier setting it up on there than trying to do it on the head unit

Yeah mate I tried tht link will be much easier, I am just not to sure what to set things to on the setup screen on that link.

For example the Equalizer settings it all look pretty complex

Just imagine it at as the frequency range split in 5/6 parts and being able to adjust those parts individually. Its not that difficult once you start adjusting them.
