Shocks or tyres?

Car  a black one
Had the rear end of my 182 skip out twice today. Almost lost it on one occassion.
Do we reckon it needs new tyres or could the shocks be on there way out?
Cars on original shocks, and done 38K and the pe2's have about 3-4mm on them?
Cheers guys

Check the shocks. If they have oil on the outsides they're shot.
Check the tyre pressures. Should be 30psi at the rear IIRC, but either way make sure both are at the same pressure.
And if the roads are greasy, drive slower. Simples.

Rear dampers can be shot without leaking though so they need to come off to be 100% if they look ok. I'm only up the road if you want it doing.

mine is seriously jumpy too, so may well be suffering the same problem.

glad i picked up some konis yesterday now!

Cheers guys. Could be the roads but the car has always been really good my guess is the shocks could be on there way out
