Shocks

  Monaco Blue Mk2
I passed my MOT yesterday. I got an advisory though that I need a new front nearside shock as the pivot joint is worn. Pretty sure it's due to when the bottom strut bolts sheared off. He said all the other shocks are spot on.
I'm on -40mm Apex springs and standard shocks.

What's the best bet, just get one new standard shock, or get new uprated shocks all round? The standard shocks are fine for me comfort and handling wise. I'm not driving that much at the minute die to being at Uni. It's mainly down to cost, If it'll be similar or not much more to get uprated shocks as opposed to one new standard one then I'd be up for that.
So basically, what options do I have and price-wise. Thanks!

Its about £200 or so for 4 new uprated shocks but I felt it improved my handling by quite a bit. If you do go for standard then at minimum Id change both fronts If I was you Dan

You should realy replace both sides so both front or both rear at once.

However I'd chnage all 4 so there all equal age etc.

Stock would be my preference Bilstein do a replacment set but I'm not impressed stock are a few quid (litrally) more expensive and I fell a better setup.

£50 a shock each from Renault/Bilstein realy so a whole srt is £200 or so.
