Short Shift

Car  clio 172
I have been looking at the K-Tec racing short shift gear linkage,(because this is the only one i can find for 172).
Just wondering if anyone has one fitted an if it is worth the money.
Also if people know of other manufacturers that make them for the 172.
B&M don't have them listed.

Cheers

Yeah deffo, I only sold mine because I am getting a new car - and I am NOT modding my 197 ;).....

yeah B&M definately make one, and they fit on all mk2s IIRC. I had 1 on my 1.2 and even on the 1.2 its worth it.

What price are these? Easy to fit or need a Professional??

Mine is from MB Engineering. I am beginning to like it, don't think that it will make gear changes quicker, just means less arm movement.;)

If you have money to burn get one, otherwise may as well stick with standard.

It all depends on how gentle you shift. Short shift puts a lot more strain on the gerabox.
If you known for gearbox destruction I don't recomend this because you'll shorten your gearbox life even more.
But if you have some feeling and compassion when you shift then it might be OK.
