Its a old shooting ground, but I think the pile has only been built up over 20-30 years as they used to be made of paper and brass and they would rot down and sell the brass.
now its plastic and cheap crap metal not brass and its truly worthless hence the out of control pile.
Estimated 1.4 million a year get added to that.
ive been piling them up for 14 years and made a tiny impact on the overall size.
kinda makes my 20 million estimate quite low :/
