Should I be paranoid

Im getting more and more paranoid about the mileage on my car. Ive got a 52 plate and done 36k. I know others have done a lots more but theres only a couple of people. I do quite a few miles for work just to and from and occassionally extra.

I cant be bothered with loosing money on it to find another cup (its all Id have) froma garage or private.

Should I be worried about anything apart from warrany?

I wouldnt worry about it, mk 2 172s are worth so little now anyway.

If you were putting that many miles on a car worth £20k then that would be different.

From a mechanic point of view, then i dont know

mechanically im not going to tempt fate by saying anything lol.

perhaps when i get to 70k ish like yoz i can get some head work to...might have saved enough by then!

Chris, when mine passed 44k this week I thought the same, so filled up with a tank of juice and went for a proper good thrash - seemed good from where I was sitting.

Lifes too short mate. Get out there and enjoy it.

oh i enjoy it especially now the coilovers are on. i do want to get more out of her at some financially stable point

Ive just had my 12k service on my 182.......... its not quite 4 months old yet!

I wouldnt bother.

Your loosing a fortune in depreciation the money lost for milage is minimal in comparison.

Mechanically I wouldnt worry either the engine is strong, its an evolution of the 1.8 16V and williams and there good for well over 200k and the 172 is a better version of it.

Anyway a brand unused new engine is only £1.2k and a whole, engine, box, clutch etc is only £1.3k.

The more I think of th money you use on a car the more I think just to keep it till it almost falls apart Ive done 34k on the same plate doing almost no private drive just to and from work and Ive lost more per mile than the car has cost to run its so depressing.

cars are for driving, mines 18 months old and 19k, not loosing any sleep over it.

Ive got my Y Reg with 56k on the clock, and I bought it a couple of months ago with nearly that so I wouldnt worry!
