Should my shocker go.....SQUELTCH

  H22A7 Accord Type R

as a few of you will know, some nice person hit my car a few weeks ago. Currently, the company dealing with the repair are waiting for the witness report. now, the car has been tracked etc, and is pointing in the correct direction.

After a few posts on here, Fred informed that my HEAVY numb steering in a straight line, sounded like a bent shocker. I have had the wheel off tonight (felt like it) and when jacking up and down, there is a lowely SQUELTCH noise comin from the shocker!!! IS THIS NORMAL???? LOL

My main problem is that TRAX is only a few weeks away, and my car is going in on our cruise stand. It would be a bugger if it aint fixed by then, cause it would not be advisable to drive from West Yorkshire to Silverstone with this nackered shock? (even though i have done about 400 miles on it already to work mainly).

Maybe i can tell this company that i NEED it fixing and i think it needs a shock! its all gonna be tight for the 7th of September!!!

So, back to my main question,

WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK OF A SHOCK THAT SOUNDS LIKE SQUEEZING A WET CHAMOIS?????

Sounds odd but may not be abnormal, just do the same with the other side and see if its the same. Youll know for sure then.

other side has a nice smooth sound. Id say its been fooked in this accident! so hopefully it only needs a new shock when it goes in for repair (i dont want my car having loads of repairs done)

Sounds that way, may be wise to change both sides at the same time if youve done a fair few miles on them.
