Show me how to not fail at photoshop O:

Im trying to colour code my front bumper so its the same colour as my car in photoshop and im a total PS noob. Can anybody tell me what im doing wrong ? I just cant get the bumper light enough

I have it set to soft light and i tried overlay too but im just failing

I dont have photoshop but i've had a go on paint for you. Sorry i couldn't get the blending quite right as it's canny hard with a laptop touch pad and not a mouse.

Apologies for the lateness:

Like i said, i'm not great (As you can tell).

If you're struggling using PhotoShop, give Paint Shop Pro a try (I'm using version XI Photo). I find it alot more user friendly and it is just as capable at completing tasks as PS but in a different way.

Thats for the pic it kinda helps that you managed the right colour but its hard to get the colour and keep the detail

I had another go and managed this

I think im sold on the idea anyway, Taking it to a garage tomorrow for a quote. Anyone got a rough idea of how much it would be or how much it cost them ?
