Side repeater removal

Is there a knack to getting these off on a 172?

Push them forward/backwards? Or do you need to do something else? Dont want to twist them the wrong way and *snap*

I got a small screwdrive to lever it out to start with and that used another the press in the prongs. Hay presto they should pop out.

Or if the screwdriver idea is a bit scary, use the corner of a credit card - no chance of scratches.

You can polish any scratches out, and anyone the new siderepeater will cover them. When doing mine it really pissed me off! It took me ages to get one off but the other took a few seconds, you have to be a bit brutal!

Use a long screwdriver as it will give leverage and more power without you putting much effort in and hopefully not bending the panels!
