Silliest thing? Thinking that i could outrun a DB9 on the A3 early one morning.....needless to say the bloke was rather unimpressed and i pulled over rather sheepishly and let him past.

Can't fault me for optimism...:clown:

  Mk1 Ph1 92' Valver
lost my keys for 45mins. sat down, went for ignition ,oh,no keys.found them in the end,in my coat pocket.doh:banghead:

  Mustang, S13, AX GT
Got in the car, answered a text and then started looking for my keys. 5 minutes later I found them in the ignition...

  BMW M135i
Bounced the old one off some railings backwards in the rain once*, lesson well learnt there. Other than that i'm sure theres loads of things i've forgotten, but thats definetly the biggest.

*Lift off oversteer is really cool up until this point ;).

Sat in the car at the dealer and handed over the money, what the hell was I thinking buying another Clio.:S

I have promised that the next car I get wont be anything French.

The only thing that really sticks out for me is leaving a McDonalds Coke on the roof of my old clio, getting in the car, and opening the sunroof. As you lot know the electric sunroof on the Clio Mk2 Tilts then sildes well needless to say the coke tilted and slid right over me and my best mate, soaking us and the car.

Lift off oversteer is wicked in the Clio, it is so progressive and when the rear finnaly steps out all you do is plant your right foot and off you go again.

(Word of advice, if you are unsure about what to do when the rear of the car lets lose, do not try it on the open road, IT WILL END IN TEARS)

Similar thing here. Letting a mate of mine drink coke in the car. Obviously he ended up spilling it everywhere

Amen :dapprove: !!

A few weeks back I was driving a stretch of road I know like the back of my hand, there are a group of corners which when dry are fine, coming round the first one I could see a car just going round the second bend, so started to slow, came up to the second corner and relised that the car was pulling into a lane, lifted off the rear stepped out but I caught it and just planted to pedal.

Great fun when you know how to control it, but it is very easy for it all to go wrong. At least you got out of it ok.

Its very easy to overstep it though imo because it being so predictable it gives you a bit of a false sense of confidence at the time, I just left it a little to late before getting on the power to correct it and it was too far gone by then. Luckily I escaped with paint damage only.
