Silvertech's and a polish..

  BG 182
Had my car back from the garage yesterday after having a full belts, water pump and dephaser change. Figured I'd treat her to a wash, and get some photos of front/rear silvertech bulbs.

Thoughts?

That looks bloody fantastic!!

It would drive me completely nuts keeping clean though.
Absolutely stunning.

What sizes are the silvertecs by the way? Looking at ordering some asap. Thanks man
Just buy offset pin ones for the indicators.

Looks lovely. Who did the belts?

A local garage we've used for a fair few years, he did my brother-in-law's 172 a couple of years back, prices are always reasonable, and never had any issues with work done there. He used genuine renault parts, and did everything for just under £600.

It does drive me mad, I wince after it rains, as I know it will be filthy again, especially the spray from driving the bloody thing!

According to the service history, it was only done just under 20k ago, but the waterpump and the dephaser hadn't been done, so I thought 'sod it' and booked it in. She purrs now, and I've got peace of mind knowing they've all been done.

So so nice!!

Thanks, trying to source a non sprayed upper/lower grille as a previous owner had sprayed them, and can't be arsed with the upkeep! that and trying to keep it standard.

Don't sell your car on here ;) using a 'local garage' means you've just knocked £1,000 off the asking price lol (according to most on here)

Looks stunning mate. You must have used a bit of HDR there? I can't believe how shiny it is! Any more plans?

Thanks fella,

Haha, I've seen that yeah. It appears no one but 'Renault specialists' are able to do belt changes efficiently. Even though mine is running the best I've ever seen it. Seems to idle really well now (cold or warm)

Yeah, I did a 3 bracket HDR on my SLR, only way to make black cars look any good.

Plans? Well, I really want to source a upper/lower grille that hasn't been painted, I appreciate they're faded now, but I'll just be super vigilant with the bumper gel, as a previous owner had painted them and they're looking a bit tatty. Would be happy to swap if someone was going to paint theres.

Not much else I want to do with it, apart from enjoy driving it. It is missing front arch liners, so maybe get some new ones, that and the left headlight washer has a leak and empties my entire screen wash reservoir.

Mirror finish or what! You can't beat BG's for that!

Just a shame they get dirty so quick!

This looks mint, we'll have to get some photos soon!

Yes mate for sure!, my brother-in-law has just put a deposit down on a silver phase 1 V6. Should be picking it up this week!

Fantastic BG

Thanks! on the hunt for a grille swap, I'd rather have a slightly faded grille than a tatty paint chipped grille.

Sounds like you know what you're doing! Time to just enjoy it :)
