That’s V2.0I was expecting him to bin it and get flying kicked off the chair and out of the shot
That is a superb wheel, though the gear change paddles could be described as a bit loud (According to the Mrs)Bought a McLaren GT3 wheel, hard to resist at £171 delivered with a Metal QR2. Fanatec are doing free delivery before Christmas.
Does your shifter clunk through the frame like a church bell?Gear Shifter installedDog was supervising.
The cable is a bit short to the wheel base and the M6 bolts were not included.

I mean it's way better than my PMS shifter in the CLioDoes your shifter clunk through the frame like a church bell?
I simply don't use my Fanatec shifter for that reason - it's just way too noisy.
I've got two layers of rubber matting squeezed between the frame and the gearstick stand itself - but it didn't make the slightest difference, really.P.S. have you tried dynamatt type stuff?
No. You can buy and use Simagic wheelbases/wheels/pedals on PS5 though it is not officially supported. SuperGT (Longtime Gran Turismo Youtuber/streamer) uses this gear now without issue. If you're looking to change out your gear then I'd definitely give his video a watch on the subject:Am I stuck with just the Logitech Pro and Fanatec DD+ for PS5 and PC use?
Lovely looking button box. If you don't mind, how much did that set you back? Also, does it come with the appropriate hardware to mount it to your rig? On the shifter front; if you're after a sequential shifter, I can recommend the Moza SGP sequential. I picked one up a couple of days ago for my rig (to use on the oval/NASCAR side of iRacing) and find it to be very good. It has a couple of buttons on it also which is handy. So, it was out with the Fanatec shifter earlier and in with CB1 switchbox. Not done any cable management with it yet, but will over the weekend.

I do still want some form of shifter at some point, but I'm in no hurry. Might look at reviews of other brands, unless Fanatec has made progress in leaps and bounds with theirs?

As well as the shifter I added a round wheel which I'm enjoying a lot. No buttons on it since its literally just a Sabelt wheel so I'm now looking to add some kit of button panel like the one above, or a stream deck.

That should get you started. Will post in more detail later if nobody else does
I'm a total noob with this kind of thing, so not really sure what I'm looking at. Is that the best version? Ideally I need something totally idiot proof![]()
That's the only version of the game that's really worth playing. Has hundreds of stages, great online rallies and the most up-to-date physics the game can handle. Be warned though, I think it's over 100gb due to all the stages. It's a little bit tricky to install, but if you follow the guide they provide, and watch that video above, then you should have no issues.I'm a total noob with this kind of thing, so not really sure what I'm looking at. Some decent updates coming by the looks of it. A load more stages for Sweden and Greece, plus another six new cars. I thought the Clio Rally3 and Rally4 had been a big omission, so nice to see those in there, and another of the 2017-21 WRCs added. That Michelin Pilot livery on the Escort Cosworth is pure p**n too.
I can't get my head around why they've added the '99 Focus, which was barely developed and massively overweight, when they could add the '03-04 Focus which would be much improved over the '01 Focus we have already. Plus the '03 Focus would give the Xsara a good fight in game based on the stats, which would make some of the clubs I'm in much more competitive and varied.
