Simple web site search?

Hey ppl,
I've got a basic web site (tho it isn't on the web, just running off normal PC) that I would like to put a search engine in. Is there any simple html/xml based ones that I can use? I've searched for one but all I keep getting is perl and cgi scripts.

websidestory is a good one! you can customise the results page etc.. and you dont have to have any sponsorship on the page etc.. just a simple search box like here.

and if you have a couple of similar websites you can link the search box with all of them.

you also get a weekly update of what has been searched for on your site.

Thanks for these suggestions but the PC that contains the site is not conntected to the web.
