Sky+ box wont switch on

Had some electrical work done in the house so the power has been off for a couple of days. Now the sky box wont switch on. All i get is the red light on the power switch.
Ive done the usual unplug for 2 min, plug in and leave for 1 min. Tried this a couple of times but no joy. PSU maybe?
Any other ideas appreciated.

Is the light flickering slightly? If its a thomson box they suffer with psu failures, you can tell by opening the box up and looking at the caps, see if they've popped.

Plug it back in and leave it 5mins. They won't always turn on straight away.

^True, mine one took about half an hour :S Could also be the HD got corrupted and the box needs resetting.. looses all of your recorded stuff though

Cheers RevelS, that did the trick. In answer to the other posts. Yes it is a Thomson which is why i suggested could it be the PSU. Also its just Sky+, not HD.
