Well that's partly what happened to me, along with general prices increases on top. So was a double whack for me.@Nickw88
So if my discounts start dropping off like they have since May do I have a case to cancel or suck it up till September?
Excellent. How wierd is that 9 months ago I contacted ‘open reach’ as we have mega fast fibre in certain parts of our village, put in request, told 2026.
Just gone to collect bins & 3 guys in high vis have the lids off the pavement boxes, quick chat & they are getting ready to pull the cables through for open reach.
He reckons 2 months away, perfect as my Sky package ends Sept
Excellent.
Fibre and bin off traditional services.
They will soon get the message that overcharging customers is poor business practices.
Plenty of other alternatives out there.
No idea who supplier is, but im sure will be fine.Hopefully my iptv works well otherwise I’ll be after something else 🤔

My understanding is Sky TV customers (with a wired box) can cancel regardless of how far they are into their contract following price increases (providing the correct process is followed), whereas Sky Stream customers have no rights at all. Depends which you have, but at least September is only a few months away, worst case.
EDIT: I don't think you have any case with discount periods ending, I think it only applies to the rise of their standard prices. I had an email notifying me of them, maybe a month or so ago now.
I didn’t know they’d stopped it to be honest, but I’m sure they’ve got their reasons…Sneaky b******s! Thats why the don't offer sky q anymore then!🤔

I've not looked in to it myself as there's no need currently, but NOW TV used to offer a Sky Sports package (pay monthly and day passes for certain events). Do they not still offer that? Could potentially be worth looking at if they doThink I’m going to bin it off and get an F1 TV pro subscription again.
I would genuinely quite happily pay them a tenner a month, even twenty a month, to just have Sky F1 and nothing else but nope you have to have the TV package and all the sports on top, and it’s a 24 month contract now where they can change the prices at any point.
It’s not even the money so much as I hate being ripped off by their shitty business practices.

Ahh fair enough. I’ve just had a look and it seemed reasonable at first glance, then I looked closer. Yeah, not cheapYeah they do, but it’s live only with no catchup etc and the price is carefully pitched that if you’re not a very occasional user you’re better off getting a proper subscription.
Day pass for NowTV used to be £6.99 as I'd used to get that for the odd game I was home for. It's now £14.99.I've not looked in to it myself as there's no need currently, but NOW TV used to offer a Sky Sports package (pay monthly and day passes for certain events).
