Sky Multiroom

Car  Clio 1.4 16v
Hi all, has any body had a second box for sky multiroom fitted??

They are coming tomorrow to do it in my bedroom, if anybody has had it done could you tell me where they get the Satellite dish feed, i'm just hoping its straight from the dish and they don't have to come from the other box.

Great stuff, they won't be trying to drill nasty holes all through the house, just one feed in, spot on.

Do you know if they are pretty reliable to come on the day they say, i've had to take unpaid leave so they better turn up!!

they may turn up but they turned up 4 1/2 hrs late the otha day for me. i was not happy at all so be warned!

I might not have understood your answer properly but yes they will have to drill to put a new cable into the second sky box. They will put a quad LNB on the dish and from that you will have 1 cable going to your original box (2 if you have sky plus) and then the 2nd (or 3rd) cable going to your new multiroom box.

Hope that helps.

Chris

Well the downstairs box is standard at the mo, HD on september the 4th, and my room will just be Sky+, yes, i'm fine with the one hole just not not hundreds of the buggers,

And in relation to an earlier question, its an extra tenner on top of the bill a month, I think its sixty quid installation but i'm payin a hundred so I can get sky plus

Does anybody know how sky pluss works, does it have an internal hard drive, if so what capacity is it??

If the box is in a different room, they will probably use a different run for the cable.. so yes, you may have another hole for the cable.

Internal HD yea.. capacity can vary, and I'm sure they reserve some space to save room for future stuff.. (they definetly do on the HD box)

Lovely, cheers.

I just want one hole behind my tv, phone cable can come from the other room, just waiting for them to turn up now.

Gotta pick my missus up, will be out for max ten mins, but I can garuntee that with my luck they will turn up then!!

that seems reasonable gonna look in to that :approve:

When they fitted sky for the boss at work they drilled and threaded the cable through a fall pipe!

Sky+ hard drive is 80GB or 160GB

If you are having sky HD in your living room & sky+ in your bedroom you will have 4 cables coming in, 2 to each box.

My install was free, surely yours should be.
