Slight whirring sound

I have a slight whirring sound from my aux/ cam belt area its not that load and i have only just got the car is this normal? Its a mk2 ph1 172.

Yeah at 31,000 now the car has done 56,000.

No cam belt as well as it was around 6 years old at that time and as you know rubber can go off!

They all seem to whirr a little bit, comes from the alternator area on mine, nothing to worry about.

Quite normal from what I can gather. As long as the belt changes are upto date you should be fine.
