Smoking Fogs??

Looking to tint my fogs with the same tint spray i have used to do my rear lights. Would this be road legal?
Anyone done this before?(Im sure i saw it on a mk1 somewhere)

Erm.. I didnt ask whether it would look or not. Was just wondering as to the legality of it..
