Sms delays - Iphone 3Gs

Got one of these on test for a week.

Anyone got sms delays whilst on 3G?

Few of our customers are complaining about it, although I can't get it to fail so far.

Do these things go into a sleep mode or anything??

They sleep when the screen's off... that's about it. Doesn't affect signal at all.

Every now and again I get times when I can't text someone and then later in the day I'm with them and all my messages come through at once. O2 I guess..?
