Snapped Aerial!



  campus sport 1.2 16v
hi everyone ,tried replacing my standard aerial with a smaller one and the thread has snapped inside the black moulded part and theres no way i can get it out! Just wondered will my local garage be able to replace the moulded part or is it a reno visit? [hope not]:dapprove:

on mine the aerial is at the front and i can get to a nut from the interior light and undo it, is urs at the back, prob only a case of pulling head lying down a bit to get to it

Ph1 aerial mounts are easy to get to because they're just behind the interior light.
Should imagine you'll have to remove the head lining as said above. Then it'll probably just unscrew.

The thread is brass? If you get a scribe and score a straight line onto the top you may be able to get a screw driver to turn it?
a option to try first.

That or drill it with a 2mm drill bit and use a easy-out, not sure if they go that small though ?

Get your hands on a stud extractor mate, machine mart will sell them this will get the snapped stud out of base.
