Snow foam dilution rates.

Im really thick at maths and i am told that for a strong concentrate out of my snow foam i need 1:15 ratio.

For weak i need 1:25

The bottle is a litre so what amount of foam do i put in the bottle

Before any of the... Duhhhhh:boring: comments...

How ratios work is that you add all the parts up i.e. 1+15=16, then divide the amount needed (1 litre/1000ml) by the number of parts i.e. 1000ml/16=62.5ml
Therefore every 1 part of you snow foam you are going to have 15 parts water
and 1:25 would be 1000/26=38.4ml

But they both seem weak to me. I have been using a 1:10 ratio i.e 90ml of snow foam and thats seems to do the trick and is not too strong that it strips the wax and seems to be what people use on detailing world.

what snow foam is it that you are using?

i snow foamed my car today again. messed about with the settings and used about a fifth of the amount i used last time . . . :S

it also stuck better, came out as shown by most of the pictures you see on here too!! came out like bubble bath when used previously hence the reason for playing around with the dilution rate on the top of the karcher foam lance!!

yeah you can use too much and it not work as well as it can't get enough air into it and doesn't foam as much.
is always best just to fiddle about with it all and find what suits you!

so the general concencus is 100ml to 1litre bottle? and strell im using ph natural snowfoam buddy.

Yeah 100ml is 1:9 but that will be fine.
And boosh as you are using ph natural it is quite a mild snow foam so it would defo be fine to use 100ml of it.

i have this lance with the snow foam!

what sort of settings do i need to use when applying because when i did it first time round it was a very weak mixture!

use 100ml of it for every litre and just have a fiddle with the knob:quiet: until a decent mixture comes out.

If your bottle is 1 litre, whack in 50ml for a weak mix and 100ml for a strong mix. Mark the bottle with a permenant pen so you dont have to measure every time. Fill with warm water and adjust the knob to suit how foamy you want.
