snow foam + engine bay . . .

= fail?

wondered yesterday as i was snow foaming the car, what the effects would be of cleaning the engine bay in the same manner?

i would look to cover battery etc in plastic bag and cable ties, or something to that effect?

It is possible to hose your engine bay, I havent done it personally, but Ive heard of loads of people who have.
Just double check exactly what needs covering etc before you do it!!

It wont even touch the grime in the engine bay. Only way to get it clean is to scrub.

I wouldn't do it. I have done in the past with my previously owned 5 GT Turbo. There was problems getting the engine started even though she'd be left for few days to dry.

I wouldn't bother.:nono:

A good degreaser will be much more effective. Just stick to something like AG Engine and Machine cleaner.

Can of gunk and a hose/pressure washer, mine's always been fine, just try to stay away from the plugs and air filter if you have a cone

lol at vid, considerin the normal day to day probs u have with the wagon i wouldnt go playing with a foam machine under the hood

I watched a bloke cleaning has brand new range rover a few years ago at the petrol station. He got the pressure washer, cleaning it all over, and then proceeded to spray inside the engine bay. Even I knew this was a bad idea, me being a young lad at the time. I had to giggle when he got back in the car, and expected it to start!
