So, I broke my 200. Pics inside.

As per title. 200 is broken. No where open over easter to fix.

I have a trolley jack and some stands, no idea what to do apart from just try and push it back.

Thoughts?

Undo the clamp, 2 x bolts. Seal it up and slide it together and tighten, should be all good then. Just make sure it's all square etc.

Easy, unbolt, bit more exhaust paste and retighten.

May call the RAC - its dark and cold. I guess they could fix it.

May not of been tightened up properly, that ain't how it left the factory though, exhaust must of been chopped at some point. Yeah, AA / RAC would sort it for you.

When i took it to 519 for a service Dan said it looked like it had a new back box on it, said it looked like a renault one though. Will get the RAC out then, will update soon!

Yeah the silencer has been removed, I had that done a little while ago.

RAC bloke came, weirdest man alive, popped it back in then told me to get it fixed properly with some 'gumgum'.. Right odd hall he was.

Doesnt sound as beefy now lol

Every Clio i've had it has broke. Every time.

I actually think i had the 182 in at C&C around 9 times for repair/adjustment! What a fvcking mare!

He's probably right as they're a solid section from factory and the process for replacing the £700 rear silencer (I LOL'd hard when I saw that price) is to cut the pipe and sleeve it, as pictured in the OP's first post.

There's a similar sleeve kit avaikable for the Laguna II/Vel Satis 2.0 Turbo which is longer and grips better but I think the OD will be different.

Get it welded - problem solved.

Exhaust paste is a bag of w*nk. Apply, harden, crack, repeat.

Same happened to me on my 182, middle pipe and sports cat come apart! never heard anything so loud in my life! happened about 15 miles from my house at 11pm! Easy fix, either do it yourself or take it to an exhaust place and they will do it in 5 minutes.

My clio backbox jumped ship one night on me after about 1k miles, my old meganes centre silencer opened itself up like one of them polystyrene kebab boxes, remained attached on one edge, you could open and close it lol

Therefor if Renault London west or East should refix that FOC.

Bought a new clamp from renault for £25.72 inc Vat, borrowed a friends ramp and he had some exhaust paste, job done. Looked like the clamp used previously was broekn a long time ago, the screws thread had worn away haha!
