It was a nice day today, so I thought I would remove the Clio's alloys and give them a full clean and polish and have them look spanking. First wheel came off no problem, but the other three did not. Infact one of the bolts (anti theft) was so tight, that it broke the socket and bent the wrench! So I'm pretty angry with the garage that last serviced it, I'm going there tommorow to get them to remove them and tighten them to proper torque settings.
I hope that they don't have to drill them off, as Murray Mitsubishi had to do last year to my dad's Legnum Vr-4; damaging the wheel in the process.
It's not like it's difficult or takes any extra time to look up the correct setting and use a torque wrench, in Kwik-Fit I watched a mechanic tighten wheels using a torque wrench, the get another mechanic just to check they were correct. Not to mention the stress it puts on the wheel and the bolts I would imagine...
