The Focus looks all mean and focussed, the clio looks dopey.
Its like a cross eyed child trying to chase a football with the pro's.
Impressive.
Ask yourself what would you rather be driving...
Like a wart?
Still f-ugly.

Flol, half price! How? The FRS is 25k iirc.

As per usual, nonsense. As Sutcliffe mentioned in the video, thats flat out driving in a controlled environment. You'd be an utter prick to drive either of those cars that hard on the road.and you will be able to get a clio cup 200 for £13.5k as usual on renaultsport.co.uk dealers..
i just lol at the thread where i said it was as capable as the FRS and got shot down. It clearly is a better handling car but doesnt have the straight line pace.. which means its like an elise awesome handling but no real straight line poke..
on a twisty uk b road the ford barry boy showing off his new Focus RS to his mates wont leave a clio 200 that will happen at some point and will be quite funny TBH
Focus £25745
200 cup £15750

How is that pedantic fella? You thought the price was 30k, it's a fair distance from that? And def not half price?Stop being pedantic.
True, and the looks are subjective tbf.well exactly my point m8
we all know it feels easier to extract handling on a renaultsport where as if you chuck around a 1500kg car its not with quite the same confidence, so on a twisty road the clio will be there all the time... on a open road a/bypass the clio will be dust.. but then so could be your license
i agree, in point that you would only buy the focus for its special/rare factor, there are other hatches and certainley saloons that are easy to get the same speed.
a hothatch should be all about fun. at £13.5k (real price people pay) its just showing that its such a capable little car that it can hang with the ultimate hatches
and personally the looks maybe mar mite but its not exactly hideous

Impressive performance from the 200, I can't wait to have a go in one, if the steerings improved they've addressed pretty much every issue I had with the 197 tbh.
It doesn't matter how much it is because people would rather buy a used 197 than the disabled love child of a 197 and frog eye sprite.
Initially I preferred the rear, but having seen a close up I prefer the 197's. The exhaust trim looks shoddy on the 200 imo. It's only 197 owners who are moaning cause their cars have now been replaced after 2 and half/three years. They are still going to sell plenty of them. So long as the handling is the similar or better then change is good can't wait to see the Mk4 that was shown in Auto Express a few weeks back supposed to be out in 2011. Now that looks more focused (even if it was only an artists impression)
You may not like the front but you have to admit the rear has been improved.
Am I right in saying it's the handling that's important and not the looks to you? It's only 197 owners who are moaning cause their cars have now been replaced after 2 and half/three years.
