Soda blasting or sandblasting for refurb?

I heard sandblasting will damage the brake calipers whereas sodablasting doesn't? Can anyone back this claim up? I don't want to have to buy new calipers through damage when I only wanted to refurb them.

Glass blast would be better.

Will also give them a nice light key.

anything will be fine as they are cast. ally oxide will give you the best cut through rust/crap.
soda is vastly over rated. it's fine for light stuff but anything else it's not really upto the job.

bit of duct tape on the inside to protect the face of the bore will be fine.
