Soft-Touch Dashboards

Hi All,

Is it me or are Soft-Touch Dashboards a fecking nightmare to clean/keep clean?!

Everytime I use a spray and duster it just rips all the fluff/dust off the duster and spreads it around! The same happens with a damp cloth. :banghead:

Am I missing a trick here, anyone have any methods of cleaning?

Thanks for the replys so far.

Will try some of the suggestions next time I clean the dash. Today I just persevered with using a foam cleaning spray and a duster then doing my best with the hoover to get all the fluff/left over dust off lol

A very soft brush is in fact the easiest way to keep textured dashes dust and fibre free.

Get a Clio 197 Cup and you get a shitty poverty spec solid black plastic dashboard which cleans up a treat :rasp:

this might sound silly but i use my baby girls moist wipes there are spot on honestly.

Found a good solution

After drying the car with microfibre towel/chamois and it is damp, wipe it over the dash. Works brilliantly.

Only if you use a brittle wipe/cloth.

Microfibre cloth and some mild solution. Sorted.

baby wipes are great! i use them loads on my dash and vents etc as they fold small enough to get into awkward places!

Mines a pain in the arse i'll agree, hoover with a soft brush on sorts it though.

You don't have a MK3 though, he means the soft touch dashboard in MK3s, my mum has one and it's an arse to clean.

i use my daughter moist baby wipes 80p a pack honestly they do the job.

I use my old y-fronts. Usually leave them lying on the dash to wipe windscreen when it gets steamed up.
