So i went to Hong Kong for a couple of weeks in Feb. This gave me the chance to give my camera a bit of a work out as i'd not really taken any photos since FCS!
It's taken me till today to process, upload, tag, comment on them. I've worked out my strike rate as about 30% if i'm being very generous. 70% weren't worth uploading
The full set is on flickr - http://www.flickr.com/photos/81778897@N00/
Here are the pick of them:
Abandoned houses in a small village. Skylight was visible through some of them.
Lanterns in Macau
I went to try taking a shot of a HK taxi in a motorsport style. Try as i did to recall the tips i'd read (a couple of years ago) in Chris' thread, it didn't go well. So it ended up as "take pics of nice cars", as any of us would have done
Worried about my set being dull, I tried something different and went for the artificially aged look in this one.
The classic shot from the peak. Near impossible without a tripod. I tried my best.
Next was Ocean Park to see some animals. We were sat quite far back and i only had my 17-85mm so some of these dolphin shots came out quite well IMO
Do we need 'em?
Probably the toughest one i took. Handheld for 1/5. I have shaky hands.
Panda chowing down. My 50mm would have gone well here, but i didn't know i'd be 3 meters away from a panda taking portraits of it at the beginning of the day!
Meat market
Ladies market. They didn't sell ladies though.
I even managed a spotted whilst there!
Tips, comments and criticisms welcome!
