Some pics with my new camera (56k I said noo noo noo)

  Tungy
Now before I begin. I am a complete novice, and never owned an SLR, but I am trying to get into the basics. I don't understand all the technical terms and modes etc yet, but have experimented a little with natural ambience, landscape, auto, manual, picture stabalisation modes etc. These were taken with a Fuji S5700 so an average beginners camera.

Let me know what you think and what I have to work on. Most pics taken in Dublin.

P.S. Most of the zoo pics were taken through glass so the quality may alter due to lighting and reflections, anddirt and scratches on the screens.

Thanks for looking Brad

Good job mate, lovin the flamer too ;)

I was gonna say zoo ones look like they are slightly out of focus but as you have mentioned, they are through glass.

Cheers mate. The hippo, and the 2 chimps sitting on the log are probably my favourite, even though the quality/focus isn't great.

Try switching the autofocus off and using manual focus for shooting through glass.... if the S5700 can do that of course, I'm not familiar with that camera!

Loving this pic, just proves that you dont have to have your subject centre frame to get a great shot.
