Some queries about a clio sport 182 air filter.

  Clio Sport 182
Hello there,
I currently own a 2.0 Clio Sport 182 and it is the love of my life. However I am wanting to modify it to make it my own. The only current modification I have are dual scorpion exhausts and I am wanting it to sound more mean...
So, I was looking for a new air filter to fit to my car and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on air filters that will alter the sound but still allow it to pass it's MOT with the scorpion exhausts. Another quick question is, there is a hissing noise on a subaru when it changes gear, is there any possible way that I can get that on my clio sport and if so what do I search for and need to buy. And also would you be abele to tell me whether it is worth buying :D
Many Thanks
Zack

Hi mate,

I think most people on here rate the standard airbox/filter performance wise, but in terms of noise you could try the ktec racing air filter, or if you have a bigger budget then try am ITG Maxogen induction kit for increased noise!

The Subraru thing is a dump valve, I believe it's something to be added to a turbo! You haven't got a turbo in your Clio so you can't have one! Although I think you can get an electronic version for non turbos but IMO they are a bit homo as you just haven't got boost so stop pretending :p but that's just my opinion!

I don't know a lot but I hope I have helped slightly!

Your Subaru noise will be because its turbo charged. You cannot get the noise on a clio without fitting a turbo kit etc.

Air filter, an open cone can loose power due to it being located near the radiator. If you get inventive with a few silicone pipes you can relocate it to behind the passenger headlight.

Are there any that I can get which will not cause any power loss or are they all likely to cause it?
