Something stuck on my focus RS

  Skoda
I think the point is that the Mountune isn't so much about peak figures and gearbox wilting torque which the remaps offer simply by upping the boost. The MP350 is more than that.

I agree... as a package I'm confident it is the best for the car without going daft for BHP or torque figures... The boost is increased by 0.5 bar on the Mountune remap (I've no idea if that's a lot or not!!)

Also, they tend to be quite conservative with their power estimates.

I remember seeing loads of plain remaps not making the promised figures on the RR, whilst Mountune tends to make much more than quoted figures.

Good example was the ST package they did. Think they quoted 260bhp, but actually pulled 280bhp when EVO tested it. On the other side, loads of remaps were claiming 270bhp with no other parts, but it just wasn't happening for them.

It's been developed with Team RS. It has full backing from Ford and retains warranty. It can even be fitted at some dealers. It was hardly going to cost ten pounds.

Need to get something done quickly.....swaying towards the Mountune for warranty issues......but heard the Jamsport 400 package is awesome. Theres a guy up here that does the Jamsport installation (Sitech worked with McLaren Mercedes gor 5 years) with a demo car thats supposed to be insane.

Decisions Decisions. :-S

I've read really good things about the Jamsport upgrade.... I just wanted to keep my warranty..

If you go to Mountune you get a tour of the factory.... When you see what they do you can't help but be impressed... The engine workshop is full of Audi V10's, Jag engines formula 2 car engines all being prepped... they have 4 engine dynos on the go.... The parent company Revolve do some awesome motorsport work... they also do some of the work on our army vehicles.. They are the only approved Ford GT service center in the UK

Thats awesome. To be honest £2K for a 50bhp and 60nm fully warranty backed upgrade isn't too bad. I'd go for it if I had a FRS.

anything that can be done with the warranty with the 400 kit? or is that completely out the window?

Would imagine thats a definite low point come sell time, unless some 'aftermarket' laughable warranty japes is available?

I wouldnt even consider mods if it jepordised the warranty tbh

After reading about that lad with the Leon Cupra K1 anyway :(

  Turbos.
Sounds good considering it's warranty backed. Just think i'd rather put £2k somewhere else, not like they're slow as standard!

Sounds to me like Dave Moore took you on a tour of the factory?
I got a sneak around when I had the 185 kit fitted to my Fiesta.

Oh i'm hard.

Munson, Dolan do it and do it now!

If you sell your car Dolan I will not forgive! I'm addicted to that sound!

I like the fact that this keeps the Ford Warranty. Worth the 2k IMO. Well done :)

p.s read your username as Amy for some reason . . .

Spent most of the day out in the car... The boost is soooo addictive :approve: I don't regret the cost one bit... In fact its the best money I've spent since my macbook ;)

TBH I can't shake off the idea of the JMS400. That must be a f**king missile.

They told me theres is up to 500 now!! Now that will be a missile lol!!
Up there tomoz to get my coilies fitted.....looks like ill end up with 2 woods in the morning lol

Thing is, the FRS is what it is because it's a quiet refined cruiser when you want it to be. With crazy exhausts and 400+ bhp, I think it would spoil the car. Maybe?

I agree 500 bhp is too much even for the clever FRS geometry... The difference in torque steer from standard to my Mountuned is very noticeable... Its two hands on the wheel when giving it some

Maybe mate, but i supose some people might want it? Lots of horses cheap car? I dunno. For me 350 will be more than enough. My 197 feels enough some times, but i love the handling more than anything. I imagine jamsport did it to show what it is capable of as they are a tuning company. I love the FRS's tho, get a semi every time i see one lol. Thats the next car on the list for me! :) Look mean as fook and with all the refinments it has, it seems to keep the fun factor and do everything RS's do. Even tho i dont have one im very biased towards them lol!

You can never ever have enough power. My R6 feels 'slow' when in fact it'll hit a ton in 7seconds without breaking too much sweat lol.

I need a litre bike in my life. You have to draw the line somewhere. Its all about corner speed for me :)

Lets all enjoy our fast toys though :) I'd kill for a CNUT green Focus RS with the mountune. If I had a small win on the lottery, it'd be on my shopping list.

Read a little bit more about this today very impressive hoping to secure myself a drive in a standard RS in a week or 2 with my brothers work colleague he's coming for a look at the FRP, i'll suggest a straight swap.

How different do they sound Montune vs Standard?

Bumped into a mate with a White RS yesterday whose put a Pumaspeed DV and the Pumabuild pipercross air filter with drilled airbox.......and lets just say it sounds awesome with the DV noise and it pops everytime now from the exhaust.....which i thought only happened when a de-cat was fitted........hmmm
