Sony Headunit Problems

Not sure which model but can anyone shed some light please.

I was fast forwarding through a track and then it got stuck and kept fast forwarding.

Now the only buttons that work are source and the volume (periodically)

Every now and again it changes the songs at it's own will but it still plays them, I just can't change them.


Any advice?

Maybe see if you can find a reset pinhole behind the front face you take off.
Might help?

Clean the connector between the front face and the unit?

Take it out and leave it disconnected for 30 mins or so?

Didn't think of the reset button. I have left the battery disconnected until my break so that should have reset everything anyway.

Solved it. Strange how it went like that.

Thats a good point, accidentally hitting zappin will skip through songs playing about 3 seconds of each until you press zappin again.

It wasn't that. I know about that function.

It has done it a few times since but I just press reset.

It freezes all of the buttons on the control panel and just plays the song
