sony mex-bt3900u - does not remember settings

Hi, I've installed a sony mex-bt3900u which I bought from eBay. It works ok but does not remember the time and resets itself every time I use the car.

Is there a battery which can be replaced or suchlike?

It's plugged into the universal plug but should I be giving it non switched power perhaps?

I'm new to this stuff but am learning quickly . Any help welcome !

They're usually on bullet connectors so you can swap them round easily. Basically, ones a permanent live, and the others a switched.

Thanks - I checked the loom again and sure enough the red and yellow wires have both been cut and joined to each other. Not sure why this would have happened ?

Anyway I'll get my soldering iron out tomorrow and try to fix this.
