Ouch! I've got a 360 and that was (just) worth the money, you can't prejudge the PS3 but it'd better be bloody spectacular for that!

Competition will drive costs lower over time, although given how much they must cost to build I can't see they'll ever fall that low.

Consoles are always over priced when the first come out, but thats because people pay the silly prices!

Thats about £350 ain`t it.....seems expensive but I suppose you are paying for the 60gig HDD and I`m sure blu ray players will be really expensive so doesn`t seem over the top....maybe for a games console but this has a bit more to it than that

Tbh, the ps2 was in a simliar boat.

Its was deffo the first dvd player i ever owned (aside from my pc)

No doubt it will be my first blu-ray player.
