Never too early to get the ball rolling for ideas etc, last year was a decent turn out for the convoy up, and in my opinion a really fun trip!

soooo what are peoples thoughts on what they want to do this year? another early morning start with Mr Ronald McDonald half way again, or drive up the day before and book into a travel lodge (ideally book early to avoid dissapointment of not getting a room)?

Early morning drive for me, isn't worth staying up there the night before for a days car show! Plus the drive was fun last year!

Talk about starting something early. Every year I say I'll stay with my mum in Cambridgeshire but end up driving early morning so I will just jump on board the convoy this year. That's assuming that the South Coast possee actually get their butts out of bed on time and I don't have to travel up on my own.

What time do you guys meet and leave? and how far is the drive?

Its about an hour and a bits drive normally. Last year we met up in Bracknell for 6am, few people missed there alarm but still made it there in good time. The convoys a good laugh and I cant see the point in paying £40+ for a hotel for a show that I normally stay there for around 4-5 hours.

yeah the show opens at 9 its just over 2 hours the way we go, but I compensated for the stop near Silverstone for breaky and lower engine size cars (me, although may not have the 1.2) plus the traffic to get in the venue takes ages to get through!
