Anyone local to newport got a spare set of ht leads i can try on my car? I've had a slight problem with a misfire the last few days and today it's got much worse.

I've tried a different coilpack and not long changed injectors and plugs so just leaves leads for the obvious things to try.

I'm going to give auto tech in risca a ring in the morning and see what they charge to clean them.

Turns out auto tech knew sod all about the clio injectors, bought a second hand set for now and it's worked a treat

Sorry to hear that mate. Auto Tech sound like a place to avoid then. Glad the second hand set worked out though!

The guy was adamant the injectors needed coding with the ecu to work, even after I told him that I've already changed a set before he said I was wrong lol.

Where's everyone hiding?

This is the reason I try to stay away from garages that dont specialise in the brand of car your taking there
if you ever have issues with your car again I know a guy from cwmbran that used to be a Renault tech for a number of years great guy that can normally diagnose your car over the phone

I think his name is paul something or other. . . . Pretty much the guy who had my clio before me owned it 6 years and this bloke did everything that ever needed doing on, he turned up the day I went to pick up my clio to give me his number so the clio wouldnt disappear so if anything ever goes wrong im gonna give him a call havent had to yet

Haha was that the fat f*cker down there with glasses?
Had a set of injectors and the fuel rail from a gsxr600 cleaned by them before and he told me the same.

Haha, not a clue mate I didn't waste my time going down there. He wouldn't give me a price over the phone either.

Had my mot yesterday, unfortunately the car failed on the steering rack gaiter so thats being sorted right now, other than that its very good

Planning for that track has been given the full go ahead by the welsh assembly and local councils Hodgins.
They just need to crack on with the building and development....which should be happening through 2015.

To be fair its not "one track" they're going to be building. Its 4 or 5 separate circuits along with the large main track. Everything from motocross to f1 will be incorporated!

the dual carriageway they are building is coming along, but still got a way to go,

Strange, WSBK are still looking to add it to their race fixtures for 2016.

Having a right ball ache with the clio. .
It hits around 2k rpm and bogs down you power through the bog down and then it's all normal, pluged it in to obd reader yesterday came up intermittent fault with the lambda sensor -_-

The mornings not looking so great but the afternoon should be dry....so fingers crossed by the time we hit abergavenny/brecon thing's will brighten up. It's sods law really, though we can always have another bash at the route or a new one in the summer!

Either way we'll still make the most of it!

I'll be doing it saturday buddy my mate is gonna cut and solder the wires for me hopefully it'll sort it, if not I'll have to get the loom from the lambda to the plug it plugs into
