South West Beginning of Year Combined Meet - RR + Photos + Karting

Just a quick update on this. It seems quite a few people would be more willing to attend if the event takes place after Christmas, so we are no looking to make this a 'Beginning of year' event instead of 'End of year'!

This thread is to gauge interest on a end of year combined South West meet. Dates and exact locations are not yet set!

We are looking to hold our usual South West End of Year Rolling Road event, but this time combining it with a few other activities to make it a full day event. The day would play out along the lines of:

9AM - Rolling Road @ possibly Tipton Garage (as we have used them a few times before and they have been really good and its pretty central) - (looking at around £30 a run)
11:30 - Drive to a lunch-stop location, have something to eat at about 12 (depends on what you order, but normally around £10!)
Photos - we would be looking at getting some qualiity group shots that can perhaps be used in next years CS Calender or on the site banner (free)
1pm/1:30pm - Take the most 'driver' road to a karting centre (there's a few in the SW), have a few session on track (normally around £30 for three sessions)
Photos - same as other photo shoot (free)

By holding multiple events on the same day, we hope that more of you will be able to attend without limiting it to just the number of slots available for the RR (its normally about 15 to 20). Even if your not looking to do one of the things on the day, its still great fun to come along and watch the cars run on the RR or just the usual banter that occurs on these larger meets.

Just a suggestion from someone that has held a RR meet before.....there's not a hope in hell that you'll finish the RR session in 2 and a half hours.....

Timings can be shifted around so it wont be a problem. plus last time we did it we had finished by 11:30 - i almost didn't get on as I was late!

What about enginetuner in plymouth for RR? Had my R5 on there a couple years ago and was a decent day.

@Dan@SJM, have you got any suggestions on a RR you would recommend that's centralish (as you know a lot about this stuff)?

there's Dave Baskervilles(?) in Barnstaple, he was very good when I ran mine there once and he knows a lot about cars (not just an average mechanic). Not sure if that would be too north for everyone tough? @gherkin, @Luke_Exc, @ilovewilly, @cranked, @c5 swh, @Luke0103, @starkeey, @Stopherson, @OLI

Centralish, no. I use TSR in bridgwater for my cars, or I rent out MTec's.
