can anyone tell me if this is worth doing to 172 to try and achive a wider trace, i.e. better road handling and cornoroing ability?? makes ur car look a lot better mate

I have just put 25mm on the front of mine aswel, after putting the sport body on it just dont look right with out them, im thinking of putting like 10mm spacers on the back but dont know if i should bother

take them off and refit them mate, when i had my wheels off and put them back on i got some knocking, because the wheel wasnt dead flat against the hub, means some bolts are in tighter then others
Don't know if 25s on the rear would cause problemos, not sure how much its lowered by, i started a thread on it the other week, most people think 50mm

Dunno why people bother. The 'looks good init' gang obviously dont drive hard enough. When i tried a set of 16mm on the 197 it was all over the place, tramlining, unstable/twitchy under braking. Imo your f**king up the handling big time. And why would you only put them on one axle? :S
I didn't, couldn't tighten them too well as the heads are really short and i slipped at bashed my face into the wing lol used normal nuts and locking nut
Mate, i have a 1.2, it gets me to work, i don't go on track and haven't noticed my handling is shite, only on one axle because i've got RS wings
If i bought some aftermarket wheels i would but without the spacers it looked shite with 172s
I don't love it, it was a freebie, i ripped it off my mums old laguna when it got scrapped and was gonna sell it, but got bored and fitted it, looks better then without imo

yeah they were the failures i'd get some better ones to be safe cant be too expensive
