spacers on the rear question.

So I'm looking into getting spacers for the rear and at first I was going to go with 15mm each side bolt to hub type. But now I've heard that the original wheel bolts will come into contact with the disc as the spacers are not thick enough. So I thought ok 20mm spacers will be fine but apparently 20mm spacers will push the wheels out to much making them rub on the arches.

Now I've Got coilovers so I think I could keep raising the back up until they dont rub, sound right? (I don't mind the dive look yo)

Only reason for starting this thread I just wanted to see what other have done and maybe show us some pics.

I don't want to cut my original wheel bolts and I don't want to go to studs.

Wouldn't cut your standard wheel bolts down, either get the wheel arch rolled slightly and a camber shim maybe, or just sort out some smaller wheel bolts. If Dan@MAD doesn't sort the shorter wheel bolts look yourself, buy a job lot at putting 15mm spacers on the rear will no doubt be a popular choice now.

Surly they wouldn't have to go that high?

You can use 20mm, Magpiev6 runs 20mm all round i think.

I'm not sure if raising it would stop the rubbing but it should help. Drop Magpie PM and see how she's found them

Depends on the wheels your using and what width/et they are. OZ F1's/2118's with a weak et43 might work, but with something like a turini/2118 on an et38 won't work I don't think.

I ran a 16mm spacer on the rear of my old trackcar with an et43 2118, granted my car was quite low but it rubbed pretty bad. Had to put near on 2 degrees of negative camber each side to stop it.

I'm running Renault oz f1's with ET37 iirc so not good, ill pm magiev6 later, I'm going out now to have a play with some 25mm spacers ill report back later.

right so ive had a play with a set of 25mm spacers on the rear just to see if it can work and to give me idea of how low i can go.

so this is what i started with.

so as you can see they give a nice stance but unfortunately they rubbed at this ride height so i jacked them up 10mm and these are the results.

now that i jacked them up 10mm the rubbing was pretty much gone.

i think im going to go with some 20mm spacers though as the 25mm's just seem to stick out too much.

not sure on your offset or tyre size but mine with 20mm rear rubbed loads with 2118s and federal rsr 195s, same with my 182cup wheels with 205 Michelins

their just standard renault oz f1's which iirc are et37. i think it comes down to how low you have your car rather than you offset and spacer size imo.

I've got 15mm all round, lowered on Bilstein B14s. I discussed with k-tec quite a bit before getting mine done and they advised going no more than 15mm if I was going to use it hard on track (which I am). Mine is on standard 172 (non cup) wheels, unsure of there offset.

They are just longer bolts. I don't know which ones exactly as K-Tec sorted it all out for me as they did it all at the same time as my Bilsteins so set the ride etc in one go.
