spare key doesnt work because of immobiliser

Car  Clio 1.2+ Laguna 2.0
my spare key will not start my 2005 clio because of the immobiliser, what do i need to do? thanks

Does it unlock the car with the remote fob? Battery life okay?

the spare key doesn't have the remote central locking, but it will unlock the car using the key entry...i was wondering if there was a way of starting the car with the spare key by bypassing the imobiliser

Nope, sounds like you've lost the transponder then and there's no way to bypass it. Has it ever worked and if so, what have you done recently to make you break itout and use it again?

Mick

well i have the original key, but i am away from home and my dad needs to take my car for a service while i am away, so he needs to drive it with the spare key...thanks

On my old 1.2 (very early mk2 ph1) the spare hey had no remote CL on it, but it still worked (but the door locks didn't activate central locking)

no, because the horn and lights work, its definitely the immobiliser...anybody???
