Spare key how much?

Renault have just quoted me £180 for a programmed key with alarm. is this right its for 2002 172.

Apparently so. I'm in the same boat, but I just want the key, not bothered about the remote central locking bit. Went to timpsons and they reckon only Renault can cut one

i just rang another renault in oldham £161.80 all in inc alarm. my bro said to me u bettter get a spare one cause it cost a lot more if u lost it.

i rang up renault again they said if i lost my key i should just get my car towed to renault and they will get a new key sorted without any barrel changing within an hour same price, 2002 one is easier they said.

Any idea on the cost of just the key with the door unlock thing? My alarm isn't controlled from the key
