Spark Plug gap..

Does anyone know what the gap should be between the tip and spark?

172 btw

Not sure, but if they are they are the OEM sparks then the gap should not be changed as the internal electrode will get damaged.

Just need to check them to make sure there set right, to rule out a misfire issue!

0.9mm is what it said in the haynes manual.

0.9 for the 172.

1.0mm for the 182 Platinum NGK's.

The answer is in the part number.

PFR6E-10 (1mm)

-10 just means that's what a particular plug is set at as stock. You can get exactly the same plugs but without the -10 suffix.


I'm assuming you have NGK BCPR7ES or BCR8ES, in which case about 0.9mm is a starting point. New ones are very cheap so just change them
