spark plugs?!?!?

Hi there, one of my plugs has a film of **** all over it so im going to go buy some new ones today, nearly got blagged by the guy in motor world into buying the top of the range spark pluig set which arent cheap... he banged on about how much of a difference they will make, any ideas? im thinking of just buying standard as i cant see them making any difference, anyone know any different? cheers

as far as im aware theres not a lot of differenc eif any between spark plugs - dont get fobbed into spending more money
