Speaker Upgrade

i have a mk1 and want 2 upgrade the speakers but dnt have a cluw at 1's 2 get! i seen these 1's in halfords earlier and they seemed pretty good and had good sound 2 them.

I had afew for sale a couple of weeks ago!! sold em on ebay in the end... they were brand new and boxed... i needed components not coaxials... they arnt bad speakers for the price... how much were halfords selling them for?

depends what you want to do mate, if you just want to updarage ur standerd speakers then its not all that hard just remove the panels and replace the old ones with new ones - 10cm speakers i think im not 100%

or you could go one further and get a sub/amp kit - dont get 6x9s and you will be shot at dawn, im sure u can get a amp/sub set from halfords for around 170quid...

give a better idea of what you would like to upgrade and im sure so ppl will be abel to help more!

well i have a new headunit and just want some 13cm front speakers that will sound better then standard but r cheap and cheeful. any suggestions or are the 1's above reasonable?

really pleased with them, so much better than the standard ones. They came next working day from caraudiodirect and i got free delivery on them, plus theyre £60 in halfords!

Might upgrade the fronts next, but i actually think the standard components i have at the moment are really good! Plus i have no idea how to start fitting crossovers etc for some new ones!

IMO if you are buying new speakers there is no point if you are not going to amp them.

OH yeah and componants they are much better than coxails.

^^^ wat u mena there isno point if ur gonna amp them? it sounds like ur sayign there is no pint in gettign new speakers if ur gonna amp them! lol
