speakers not always working

  Audi A3
hey ive got componets in my doors and 6x9s in the back and have noticed from time to time the left side componet will work and the right side wont and then sometimes only one of the 6x9s will work and then after a bit it works agian all the connections look ok, any ideas what it may be?

If its front & rear on the same side it sounds like your ISO speaker block is not fully home behind the head unit, (assuming speakers are head unit driven).....

oops forgot to say there driven by a 600w amp, got it as a fusion package deal...not always sure on the reatrs as cant really tell when driving but i think its only ever the right front speaker that goes out that i notice most often as can tell obviously.....i know ther system draws a fair bit of power as with the car on ignition only volume above 6 or 7 the speakers start to be intermitent if that makes sense.....wired up badly? (not done by me)

ah unlucky man nothing worse buying something all new and all that happening because t***s simply dont know what there doing id try if you can to maybe rewire it all you're self then you know its done right its a pain in the ass so ive heard to get amp cable to you're doors but possible dont get me wrong atleast then u know its done right if still problems could be a set of dodgy speakers.

(good luck with it mate i just replaced all my speakers and are being run off the head unit so i cant help to much i believe Mt audio i think his name is on here knows loads about this sorta thing maybe pm him im sure hed be happy to help he has me in the past.) :)

Sounds like a earth fault on amp or speakers, have you replaced door speakers ,if you have check the terminals are not making contact with metal in door or cable is not trapped in door. This can show as intermitant fault or shut amp down totally. Also could be RCA problem check at headunit and amp ends ,give them a wiggle to see if it cuts out.Im in Farnborough Hampshire and work in car audio if your local can help.
