Speakers Playing Up With Amp

hi, 6x9's run through amp that's all.

when i turn on the engine i get a like noise through the speakers through the amp, when i rev the noise gets louder. sounds like my speakers are taking engine power or something

what should i do?

have you put the power cable down the same side as the phono cables?have you bolted the amp to the chassis/boot floor?

yes i have, will that be a problem?

which point?both or one,phono cables shouldnt be run down the same side of a car and if you have bolted your amp to the floor youve created an earth loop causing the whine,bolt it to some mdf then bolt the mdf to the boot

trust me the phono's won't make a blind bit of difference if they are run down the same side

hi yes the problem did start when the amp was screwed to the carpet. maybe it was making contact with the metal of the spare wheel?

i bought a supressor and not fitted it yet, only 4 quid from halfords.

gonna try the amp not bolted down and see if it works
