speedo problem

had my clio cup a week now and i love it.
the only problem i have is sometimes the speedo will just stop working when going along it feels like a bit of a miss then it stops working then the car will drive fine but no speedo.
any help as its very annoying

There a sensor on the back of the gearbox check its not loose or the wiring loose that what it will be.

as you look down the back of the engine bay on the back of the box is it the plug with the small metal heat shield

Cannot remmebr if its got a heat shiled but there only two things on the box the reversing light and the speedo sensor the speedo is the one at the back near the rear engine mount under the car.
