Speedo sensor plug broken

  GSXR + KDX220
Hi guys,
After changing the engine over in my Ph2 172, the 3 pin plug that goes onto the speedo sensor has the black wire broken, and a small part of it still in the plug. Speedo now doesnt work obviously....
but there's nothing I can do to fix it without replacing the plug with another that already has a few inches of loom connected to it. Any other ways round this? And just to make it harder, theres no slack in the loom so cant even bring it up into the daylight to get a better look :(

Anyone got a plug with some loom they dont need?? :dapprove:

Or does anyone know if lesser model clio's have the same sensor and plug setup as the R.S.??

Thanks
Chris

I've sourced another plug, and got the speedo working. However, my engine management light is still on.....firstly would the non-working speedo even make the light come on?
And will it go away of its own accord after a few drive cycles?

If its an eobd fault bringing the light on then some vehicles will turn the light out after 3 cycles without the fault being detected. Not sure if this is the case with Renault. Only way to tell is use a code reader. The light itself don't tell you much, but if you have a decat in it that can cause problems, cat efficiency below threshold is a favourite with them.

Ah right, thanks buddy....If it doesnt go out of its own accord I'm pretty sure I know someone with a code reader, so will see what they can do. Shouldnt be any other reason for it to be on, we'll see. Oh and I've still got a cat ;)
