Splitting The Outer CV Joint

Not bothered taking the gaitor off yet and cleaning the grease off, but how does the outer (hub side) of the driveshaft split from the shaft itself?

Im swapping the outer section to my good driveshaft as the thread for the hub nut is f*cked..

IIrc they dont come off. Theres also two types I think.
