Been trying to solve this problem with my car for a couple of days now, everytime i go to use throttle whilst coming out of a right hander it splutters and i loose all power until i straighten up. I've taken the fuel sender unit our and have had a good look but can't see anything wrong :S Has anyone had this problem or know what is wrong?

Checked all that kind of stuff as thats what i thought, maybe a dodgy pump?

no weird noises, primes ok. Everything else is fine apart from the right handers.

Must be the pump, dont think anything else could cause this, any loose wires on the pump? or a bad earth maybe?

Right mate looking at your side bar it says you have a 172 turbo? did you have it done by ktec?

If so and it's the high boost set up you'll have the uprated fuel pump, the external fuel pressure regulator in the engine bay and a return fuel pipe running back to the tank.

I'm pretty confident that when Ktec do these conversions and they re plumb the sender/pump unit so that it bypasses the internal FPR that they also get rid of the base of the sender unit which acts as a swirl pot.

Without this when you go round a right hander all the fuel sloshes to the left hand side of the tank and the fuel pump pick up sucks a load of air in. Post up a pic of your sender unit and I'll be able to confirm this
